NSV Wednesdays returns :D

Every Wednesday is NSV Wednesday. NSV = Non-scale victory, which means, in essence, a victory in your weight loss journey that didn't involve seeing lower numbers on the scale but made you feel good and proud of yourself. Sometimes an NSV will give us that little boost of self-confidence when the scales aren't really moving.

It isn't a requirement to post, but let me warn you, reading about other people's NSVs will get you thinking and then it becomes an urge to post about your own.

Ok....let's get posting those NSVs!!! Post them here, or in your own thread, but post away! We are ready and waiting to cheer you on! Woo hoooo!

Ok, I will be first.

I am back at WW for a solid 4 months. I am still struggling with these first 10 lbs, but I am not getting discouraged because I am not leaving again.

Yea me!

I participated in Bay to Breakers in San Francisco on Sunday! It was my first organized run, and although I ran and walked (oh man, it was hot in SF this weekend!), I FINISHED! :)

Thanks! It was SO much fun, in addition to all the good feelings of just having done it...lots of participants wear costumes, there's all kinds of wacky behavior, good times.

Also, as my group was walking into our starting place, would you believe I walked by Jerry Hayes, the guy who won the prize for highest percentage of weight-loss among non-finalist players in this latest season of "The Biggest Loser"? I wish my friends hadn't been going so fast, I would have loved to have met him and congratulated him on his accomplishment.

He did! I found a couple of articles were he said that after the show, he and his wife planned to do some traveling, including going to SF where he wanted to participate in B2B. I checked the results page, and sure enough, he's listed there as finishing in 2:39:22.

My time, FTR, was 1:45:04. Sure, he's more than 20 years older than me, but he's probably been exercising more regularly recently. ;)
